I haven’t heard anyone say anything bad about tonight’s entry. It’s been in my streaming queue for a while, but there’s a lot in there and what I watch really banks on the mood I’m in and the time I have, so it’s been regrettably pushed back more times than it hasn’t. Still, I like animation of all sorts of variety, and as mentioned it’s not like there’s a lot of talk telling me to stay away from this one. Put on your tights and hope you don’t get bit by a pig, tonight we go Into the Spider-Verse.

Stick around long enough and you'll know or learn that I like those offbeat movie effects. I'm fine with CG, and I enjoy some fine practical, but there's just some weird charm and draw to stop motion movies. The fact that really anyone could do it, but knowing the huge time-barrier and immense amount of effort that goes into them only adds to that draw I imagine. Still, from the trailer I thought this was something to put on my radar, and tonight it's finally come in the mail. Let's find out whose been a good boy.

I wasn't super impressed with the last animated Batman movie that I checked out. Sure, it wasn't bad and it did have some bat-crap insane segments to it that I could appreciate, but there were moments when the quality just felt like it was subpar and I overall didn't think they really used the setting or concept to it's fullest. Well, of course they decided to make a Batman movie set just about in as old-timey not-London as it could possibly get. Color me interested, and remind your family to look at those MPAA ratings - it's time for the Bat to fight the Jack.

Batman. He needs no more introduction than that - everyone knows who Batman is at least at some passing level, even those of us who aren't super-big into comics. We've seen 3 different approaches across numerous movies both serious and batty, There's been more animated movies than I can count, and probably more comics than I could fit on a single shelf. Well, being a fan of some animated movies, and hearing a concept as sensible in name and yet absurd as "Batman Ninja," I couldn't resist. Turn on your bat-lights, we might need some rescue.

Big things come in small packages for this entry in 3D-tober. Don't let it's childish looks distract you, for beneath it's charm comes a cautionary tale. The grass is always greener on the other side - but don't question the fertilizer. Be wary of what you wish for, because you might just get it. A different spin on an old concept, will it stitch us in terror, or should we leave the case buttoned up?

I have a confession to make - this isn't the movie I meant to have for this week. I shouldn't be apologizing, as it's really Netflix DVD fault for labeling this simply as "Lego Batman: The Movie" and making me think I was getting the original Lego Batman movie and actually not. Oh well, a movie is a movie and we got some opinions to get to. I can't tell if this is as good as the first or not, but let's see if it can at least keep the charm of the Lego movies - or perhaps be more akin to stepping on one of the dreaded plastic squares.

From all the reviews this thing got, it hardly sounds like it needs another put to the mix. Zootopia was, as far as everywhere I saw, pretty much universally agreed on as being a good - if not great - movie. Another ball park hit by the old Disney movie machine. To be honest, it's been on the "to watch" list for quite some time, and I just keep putting it off and putting it off - but tonight, that's no more. Put on your leopard print and gather the family, it's time to hop to it.

This year I've been trying to do something a little different with the reviews - I guess really in multiple ways in retrospect. One facet of that is trying to alternate between types of movies - a scary movie there, followed by something light hearted, followed by a drama, and so on and so forth. Part of this is because in any good movie, tension should only really be maintained so long before the audience is given some form of relief - whether it be something as lame as a jump scare or as cheesy as a romance scene in an action flick. Well, I may have done a bit of an underestimation on just what this film had to bring to the plate.

To capitalize on the release of a movie hitting this week, I'm doing nothing related! Instead, we get to have some fun in the sun and surf with a Disney animation named Moana.Songs, princesses, magic and lore are to be expected, but can it hold the interest of some random dude on the internet? You'll have to just decide to read it, because this week, I really need to work harder on Maui puns.

A new Final Fantasy game is out, and with it we somehow got another movie too. So far, I've enjoyed the other two movie entries so I have no reason to not think I'll enjoy this right? Well, this week we get to find out the easy way! Get them throwing weapons out and ready up that Firaga, it's time to have ourselves another fantasy!

I'd just like to go on the record and say I didn't do any research on this before watching it besides "will I need subtitles? No? Cool." I mean, science fiction! Something something Horus something something future something babies. I could make a comment here about it, but i think I'll make you read through it first to get to that comment.

What, don't look at me like that. Sometimes a grown man just feels like watching some Scooby-Doo. I admit, it is a change of pace from recent movies, but that's never a bad thing. Anyways, seems like the Scooby gang has gotten themselves mixed up in a mystery that involves a popular (at least to people old as I) rock band. Will it rock your world?

If you check these out on a weekly basis, then it should be no surprise to you that this movie comes as the butt of a pun that I've spread across the entire month (showing horror movies dealing with Christmas-time only to be followed up by the Nightmare before Christmas on the night before Christmas). Gotta respect a guy for the effort, right? At this point in time, there is already a pretty sizable audience that has already at the very least heard of this movie, so it seems a bit redundant to even put up opinions for it - but then I always remember that even something as recent as 1993 can be new to someone in a time future, so I do it anyways. Slap on your red suits and rattle your bones, let's see if Halloween took over Christmas, or Christmas took over Halloween.

Are you a big fan of Cinco de Mayo? Maybe you love marionettes? Perhaps your even just bedazzled by fabulous wooden mustaches? This movie might have something for you if you nodded furiously for any of those question. Either way, lets find out if this movie can really pull your strings the right way, or if it's colorful best is found to just be a giant bull.

Disney, the place of magic. Even a macho man can find something they like amidst the ever-growing licenses nestled under Disney's imaginative wings. BH6 has a pitch that interests me - superheros, animation, and of course robots. I love robots - small robots, big robots, boxing robots, shooting robots, intelligent robots and controlled robots - to the point that I can recall a certain line such as "Chicks dig giant robots," regardless of how accurate that may or may not be. The question here is if I can find it in my heart to love a squishy Disney robot. Will it be the big hero Disney deserves, or just another in the 6-dozen other Disney movies on your shelf?

Do you pine for the days of old, where cartoons had awesome rock music and vibrant lasers flying everywhere? A time before Michael Bay tried to recreate everything with trademark explosions, slow motion spinning cameras, and action that's nearly impossible to tell the good guys from the bad guys during it's hectic dancing of CG? Let's go back in time and visit our old (and some new) friends in the Autobots and Decepticons in all their animated glory. Will it be more than meets the eye, or will you wish you had rolled out before it started?

I like anime. It doesn't always crop up in movies though, as I feel the vast majority of it is actually pretty well serial based as opposed to movie based. That being said, with a title like Legend of the Millennium Dragon, I couldn't resist. Dragons, and legends? How could it go wrong? Well, we'll just need to find out if its a legendary experience or just one of those movies that drag on

I once bought a sword off of someone I worked with because I recognized it as the FAKK sword. One might then find it odd that the first time I have seen the movie from which it comes was just now. Granted, I had watched the original Heavy Metal long before this, and find went in wondering if it would be more of the same thing, better or worse than what I knew already. Throw on your spikes and lace up your boots, it's time to find out if you'll be banging your head while throwing the horns or just banging it against a wall.

Marvel likes making some anime-flavored flicks lately, but I'm not complaining. What character is cool that we don't ever hear anybody shout about not being in a Avengers movie? The Punisher. Who could we team up with the Punisher and have one not seem entirely outclassed? How about Black Widow? Tag team action in an animated form, with a little guest appearance of some the big-wig Avengers themselves! Is it a beautiful elegant thing to steal your breath away, or is it a vengeful executioner whose only plans are to stop you from breathing? Read on and and I'll tell you what I think!

Goodness, it took me long enough to get to this one didn't it? You see, the biggest issue is I wanted to take the time to re-read the book, as there are some pretty substantial differences between it and this movie - but of course I'll get to that later. For now, the world's most beautiful part-man returns with another job to kill another vampire. This time, things aren't quite as they may seem, and D isn't the only hunter on the case! Can this addition to the video collection bring it's fangs to bear, or is it just a stake to the heart?
