Chinese Zodiac (2012)
Twelve heads. Five continents. One man.
- Roller-suit.
- Action scenes choreography.
- Jackie Chan movie humor.
- Pirates.
- End credits 'music video' style compilation of various stunts Chan has done across his movie career.
- Although good, ending feels a little too happy.
- Multiple languages are used, although at times the movie (or copy I watched probably) automatically has it dubbed over in english (leading to a few mouth sync issues). Rather minor honestly - barely noticeable.
Do you like Jackie Chan movies? Yes? Then watch this one. Do you somehow not like Jackie Chan movies? Then this isn't probably going to sway your mind at all (well, unless you only didn't like the historically accurate ones). It's a fun movie with a bunch of exciting set moments (such as the opening scene's roller-suit) and that classic Chan movie humor. It's a bit like a spy movie thanks to all the neat gadgets, and a bit like Indiana Jones thanks to the "national treasures" and 'stealing' of them, but it still holds plenty of moments of fun choreographed fights and stunts to thrill the normal moviegoer.
