  • Hats off to the props department. Costumes and props are amazing.
  • Pretty decent effects.
  • Decent atmosphere.
  • Manages to hold on to the "guessing game" aspect longer than I thought it would.
  • Solid enough acting.

  • Horrible tagline.
  • Some effects are better off than others.
  • Not really any character development of any kind.
Opinion

I was drawn in by the Netflix cover art looking like some blend of Edge of Tomorrow and Ghostbusters, but was more than happy with my stay. Fun action, an interesting premise that feels a bit like some kind of spiritual successor to Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within at first before it goes off on it's own way. It's a nice surprise, and my only real sadness is that it being a Netflix Original will keep it locked away for a good number of people without Netflix accounts (unless they end up getting some hard-media of it out there in Walmarts and Targets).
