Cabin in the Woods (2012)
You think you know the story
- Interesting plot with stellar plot twists (if you go into the movie blind)
- Visually a feast
- Actors do a pretty job of being amusing, even with cliches
- Ending turns into the most awesome thing I've seen in a horror movie
- Poses a great "what would you do" question to think about later
- Plot cannot be discussed without ruining the twists
- Trailers can potentially ruin parts of the movie
- Cliches pop up, even if in mocking manners
- Sometimes things can look a little off
Opinion
If you love the horror genre, this is a must see. Optimal results acquired by going in blind (not knowing anything about the movie), and It won't be quite as awesome an experience if the twists end up ruined.
Five friends go to a remote cabin in the woods. Bad things happen. If you think you know this story, think again. From fan favorites Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard comes THE CABIN IN THE WOODS, a mind blowing horror film that turns the genre inside out.
