Devil's Pass (2013)

History always repeats itself

  • Legit reason for things to be recorded in a found-footage format film
  • Great plot twist makes the movie more interesting than it originally was
  • Foreign language makes things more mysterious
  • Escalation of events towards the end brings on the sense of danger
  • Believable actions in most situations in a thriller movie
  • Proves to be a bit of a thinking man's movie by the end

  • Sex subplot unnecessary, even if believable (and not really explicit)
  • Some reading is required
  • A little shaky-cam action
  • Somewhat slow paced
  • Hope you like seeing a lot of snow
Opinion

Worth watching for the plot twist alone, but overall a decently made flick. Not for everyone, but good example of what found footage can be when thought is put into it.
