A Million Ways to Die in the West (2014)

February 22, 2015  /  Ken Rupracht

From the guy who brought you Ted

  • Feels like a bit of a live-action Family Guy set in the wild west.
  • Humor (see above).
  • A song about Mustaches.
  • Well acted.
  • Pretty decent effects work.
  • "Reaching for a hat."

  • Some people may not like some of the sex-related content (although nude-free).
  • Some people might not be attuned to the sense of humor (I can see this being much like Family Guy, where people either love it or hate it).
Opinion

I was amused. Some of the jokes are a little dumb, but for the most part it brings very similar laughs as one would expect from an episode of Family Guy - including some jokes that continually keep popping up, plays on words, and farts. I won't lie and say the farts didn't make me laugh, but I have a weakness to fart jokes. Certainly not for everybody (the R rating should be enough to point that out), but if you would enjoy sitting down to watch Family Guy, you'll probably enjoy sitting down to watch this.
