It feeds on your fear.

  • Pretty good handling of effects.
  • So many one-liners/quoting one-liners from other movies.
  • Sci-fi Name references (whether intended or not).
  • Sho-ru-ken!

  • "Acting".
Opinion

A rather enjoyable flick as long as you can stomach the acting. Nothing really super-crazy going on in the plot department either for that matter, but it's an enjoyable sci-fi "monster" style flick that mixes in super soldier-style story elements as well as a "strong female lead" and mad scientist elements. Downside to all these things being mixed in is it doesn't particularly break the mold anywhere with any of it's elements, nor really outperform any "classics" you may already be reminded of when watching it. Still, it has a character named Weyland, and a character named Yutani, and one of them decides to yell "Sho-ru-ken", and that's enough to keep me entertained.
