Iceman (2014)

2013 Hero 3D Reborn

  • Cryogenics.
  • Wire-fu.
  • Teases time travel (well, different time travel than cryogenics).

  • To. Be. Continued. (Sigh)
  • Romance side-plot.
  • Reading (sometimes you just aren't in the mood).
  • Some of the CG is noticeable, and also questionable as to why they didn't just make practical prop versions.
Opinion

Alright kung-fu version of Encino Man, except really nothing to do with Encino Man outside of the "frozen and awoken hundreds of years later" bit. Fights aren't bad, the plot is (mostly) there, but certainly there are a few elements that kind of get left out (who dug up the kung-fu popsicles in the first place?). I wouldn't call it an epic by any means, and had way more fun watching things like Detective Dee, but I wouldn't really call it anything worse than mediocre.
